Student Teacher Placements

This week we welcome Reese and Izzy who are completing their teaching training placement in Prep Pascoe and  1/2 Carroll. We also bid a sad farewell to Nicole Patience whocompletes her 4 week placement with us tomorrow. Nicole has not only shown us she has what it takes to be a fabulous teacher  in the school setting, she also spent the last 3 days on the Malmsbury camp!!!                                                                                                      

3/4 Camp

This week the 3/4  students spent 3 days and 2 nights at the Doxa camp in Malmsbury. Despite the wintery weather, they were still able to have try out the adventure activities. A huge thank you to staff who spent this time away from their own families to provide this opportunity, especially Mr Ross for the hours spent planning and organising the trip.

Bullying No Way - NEXT WEEK!!! 17-21st August 2026.

The theme for 2026 is 'Small Acts, Big Impact.'

Our goal is to build environments where everyone belongs, diversity is celebrated and bullying is never accepted. During Bullying No Way Week, we encourage students, families and communities to engage in small acts that can have a big impact against bullying.

We currently have competitions running for each year level and invite students to come dressed with a touch of purple on  Friday 21st August.

Good Luck

Good luck to our Grade 6 mixed netball team who are representing our school at the Regional event next Tuesday in Swan Hill.

Emergency Management Procedure 

All schools are required to have an emergency management plan which includes a variety of processes for handling an emergency. These include at least one practice emergency drill each term. These include; evacuation offsite, evacuation onsite, lockdown and a zone lock out. We plan to hold a lockdown drill Wednesday 19th August. If you have any questions or concerns, please let your child's classroom teacher know so that we can put some additional supports in place

Character Dress up Parade -

During Book week 24th- 28th August, we will hold our annual Book Character dress up parade at 9:30am on the Friday. Students are encouraged to come to school dressed as their favourite book character.  Family and friends are welcome to join us for the parade. The theme for this year is a 'Symphony of Stories'.

Parent Opinion Survey Open (17th Aug -18th September)

Invitations with survey links and log in details for the Parent Opinion Survey will be emailed to families via XUNO on Monday 17th August. We value your feedback and want to hear what you have to say about our lovely school. Last year we had a record 41 parents log on.

Raffle Ticket offer - Once again families who complete the survey will enter our raffle as a thank you. To enter, please screen shot or print the screen to show the office you have completed the survey. You will then receive a ticket in the draw to win a $200 RBN  voucher. (Rochester Business Network)

Pupil free days - 2026

At the School Council meeting on Tuesday night we locked in the remaining 2 pupil free days for this year. 

Thursday 8th of October. (Supports families wanting to attend the Elmore field day) On this day staff will visit other schools to observe best practice & planning. 

Monday 2nd November (This is the day before Melbourne Cup day - giving families the option to take an extra long weekend if they wish to).  This will be the staff professional practice day.
