Maramba Shines at District Athletics Carnival!
What an amazing day of athletics for Maramba Primary School!. Yesterday, 42 of our talented students competed at the District Athletics Carnival at Casey Fields, representing our school with pride, determination and fantastic sportsmanship.
Despite some very windy conditions, the weather was mainly fine, and our students gave their absolute best across a wide range of track and field events. We were thrilled with the number of outstanding performances and podium finishes throughout the day.
A special congratulations goes to our District Champions:
đ Eve N â 1st, Girls 9/10 800m and 1st, Girls 9/10 1500mđ Aadvik P â 1st, Boys 9/10 Triple Jumpđ Emily A â 1st, Girls 9/10 Discus and 3rd, Shot Putđ William W â 1st, Boys 12/13 200m and 2nd, 100mđ Sallina Bâ 1st, Girls 9/10 Long Jump and 3rd, Hurdles
We also had some fantastic performances from:
đ„ Aadya Pâ 3rd, Girls 12/13 Hurdlesđ„ Hala â 3rd, Girls 12/13 Triple Jumpđ„ Fraleigh Hâ 2nd, Girls 11 Discus
Our super-fast Girls 9/10 Â 4 x 100m Relay team consisting of Peyton A, Lalmina N, Ivy S and Eve N also produced an outstanding performance to finish 2nd!đ„
While these individual achievements deserve special recognition, the biggest congratulations goes to all 42 students who competed. Every student represented Maramba with enthusiasm, resilience and a willingness to challenge themselves. Whether they finished on the podium, achieved a personal best or simply gave their best against some very strong competition, each student should be incredibly proud of their efforts.
