Debate rages how can we have a draw. Jacka won the Primary event on average while Ansett won the Secondary on most points. To throw a cat amongst the pigeons - combined Jacka Secondary and Primary averages Jacka would win overall!!!! See how you go with that Mr Lockhart. Another successful sports day. Well done to all staff, students and families who attended to make it one of the biggest days on the school calendar.
One of my favourite images of the day with my view from the coffee van was so many parents coming along to watch students in the athletic events. Until next year Go JACKA!
Its great to see a variety of primary and secondary students as well as the breakfast club make the most of the new facility. Some yummy pizzas and muffins have made it to the principals office and I can tell you they didn't last long.
It was great to have a whole school assembly in the warm Steel Stadium. The highlight was to hear from the four students who did Wedderburn College proud over the last school holidays by walking the Kokoda Track. In an absolutely high class presentation they kept the large audience entertained for over an hour. We were also pleased to be able to have a light luncheon with students who shared further stories and their personal growth they developed because of their experience. We were able to thank all the donors whether it was $1 or $1,000 dollars the students are very thankful to be given the opportunity. It was money well spent from my perspective.
I will be on long service from early next week. Mr Lockhart will be the Acting School Principal who will be supported by Mr Alexander Iser and Mr Danny Fowles.
