• Confirmation Preparation Workshop Evening  THIS Wednesday, June 11th, 5:30-6:30 pm, St Brendan’s Church, Somerville..

  *Students who enrol to receive The Sacrament of Confirmation and their parents or carers are expected to attend. 

   

• First Eucharist Sacramental Mass  (Year Four Children and older students who enrol) Saturday, June 21st, St Brendan’s Church at 6:00 pm. 

   

• Parish Commitment Mass 1 for students who enrol to receive the Sacrament of  Confirmation.

  Saturday, June 28th, 6:00 pm at St Brendan’s Church, Somerville *Parents, carers, and students who enrol to receive The Sacrament of Confirmation are expected to attend. Enrolment details to be communicated in Term Two

Term Three

• Confirmation Sacramental Mass-  Saturday, August 9th, St Brendan’s Church at 6:00 pm.

   

• Mass to Celebrate St Mary MacKillop- Australia's first and only saint. Thursday, August 7th at 11:30 am, St Brendan’s Church, Somerville. All are welcome

First Eucharist News

Thank you to the First Communicants and their families who attended the Parish Commitment Mass on Saturday, May 31st. The children were presented with prayer bookmarks and welcomed by the parishioners as they prepare to receive the sacraments of First Eucharist. Please continue to pray for these children as they prepare to receive the sacrament of First Eucharist (Communion) on Saturday, June 21st at 6 pm at St Brendan’s Church:

Thank you to the Year One and Two staff and students for leading the beautiful National Reconciliation Week: Sorry Day Whole School Prayer Service on Thursday, May 29th. Your reverence and preparation for this important prayer service was so appreciated by those in attendance. 

Thank you to the students and the staff, especially the staff leadership team, who led and prepared the St Brendan’s School 30th Anniversary Whole School Mass. Thank you also to the members of our community who attended to celebrate this special milestone in the life of our school. Special thanks to Gen Bryant and her team, Monty. Chelsea, Gerri and Zoe for their First Eucharist Workshop, whole school concert and for partnering with the choir and I to lead the Mass music. We were so grateful that you could work with us to bring our new school song to the ears of the congregation.

Christian Initiation for Adults: RCIA

 RCIA stands for the “Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults”. Our RCIA team is ready to welcome any participants who would like to enquire about becoming a Catholic. Adults who wish to begin or continue their faith journey through the reception of the Catholic sacraments are invited to contact the Western Port Parish Centre on (03) 5979 4374.
