Farewell to Joanna

Just letting our families know that our wonderful staff member Joanna is leaving OSHC and her last day is tomorrow.

We wish her well and thank her for everything she has done for all the students, families and community of St Bernard's.  Joanna has been a very valued member of our team of educators for St Bernard's School and OSHC over the past 20 years.  

We appreciate everything she has done for us and we wish her every success for the future.  Drop past to say goodbye if you have a chance.

New Floor for our Lovely OSHC house! 

Last weekend our OSHC service upgraded the floor in two of the front playrooms as well as the entrance hallway! 

We are all VERY HAPPY AND EXCITED WITH THE RESULT! 

The children especially,  have commented that the rooms look AMAZING!! 

AND Very bright and cheery!!!

Dec-Jan 2026 VACATION CARE PROGRAM

Please return your COMPLETED VAC REGISTRATION FORM BY MONDAY 8th DECEMBER 2025

COST: $75.00 per child per full day less CCS, if eligible. The cost INCLUDES all activities, afternoon snack, supervision, and incursions. 

The VAC service operates from 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday  (EXCLUDES PUBLIC HOLIDAYS)

AVAILABILITY OF CASUAL VACATION CARE BOOKINGS

The Staffing for Vacation Care is arranged prior to the commencement of the program. Therefore, our ability to accept EXTRA bookings when the program has already commenced is strictly determined by the number of staff working on the day as well as the number of children in attendance. 

CASUAL WALK-IN FEE:$85.00 per child per full day less CCS eligibility - Walk-in bookings are not always available and are strictly determined by the staff-to-child ratio for the day. PLEASE CALL IN ADVANCE and discuss your booking with the duty Coordinator PRIOR to bringing your child in. The walk-in rate does not apply to families who wish to make an extension to their existing confirmed booking.

MAINTAINING A HEALTHY CHILD CARE ENVIRONMENT

• Exclusion of unwell staff and children
• Daily sanitisation of all touch surfaces, toys, and equipment 
• Enhanced personal hygiene for children and staff by regular handwashing
• Please note that if your child is unwell, PLEASE KEEP THEM AT HOME. If a child is unwell during their attendance parent will be contacted for immediate pick-up.

Important Reminders:

·         No early birds, please! The program strictly operates from 8:00 am.  

·         Changing, swapping, or the Cancelling of booked days can ONLY be arranged PRIOR

          to start of the program

·         PLEASE ADVISE our service if your child will be absent from VAC. If your child is

          absent during Vacation Care, the usual fee less CCS will apply.

·         PLEASE Label all your child’s belongings to avoid loss of property

·         Lost Property: Families please remember to collect your child’s belongings when

          you leave the service as we have noted that many unlabelled items are

          continuously being left behind. There is a lost property box at the front entrance of

          the service, please remember to check this regularly.
