Prayer

Rejoice, Jerusalem!
This Sunday we approach the Fourth Sunday of Lent, Laetare Sunday. Laetare means “to rejoice”. Laetare Sunday provides encouragement as we progress towards the end of Lent. At Holy Mass we will notice the priest wear rose vestments; flowers may adorn the altar; and the organ may be played.
Laetare Sunday provides a small break from the penitential season that reminds us that our preparation and penance have a purpose, leading us towards the joy and hope ahead at Easter.
May this Laetare Sunday stand as a beacon of light, guiding us through our spiritual journey with the promise of joy and renewal.
