Term 2 Week 1

Welcome to Term 2!

I hope all students ( perhaps not all parents!) had the opportunity to reset and refresh over the break, ready for another busy and exciting term ahead.

A printed calendar outlining key events for the term will be sent home this week to assist families in planning ahead. We encourage you to also refer to the Dates to Remember page in the newsletter for important upcoming events and reminders.

ANZAC DAY

Our defence force families are sharing a very special ANZAC Day assembly with the whole school on Friday at 2:45pm. Everyone is invited to join us for this special assembly in the Parish Activity Centre.

On Saturday morning, families of St Mary’s students are warmly invited to join in the annual ANZAC Day parade in Hastings. We will meet at the Hastings RSL, ready to begin marching at 10:00am on Saturday 25th April. Together, we will walk to the Hastings War Memorial and take part in the commemorative ceremony. This is a meaningful opportunity to come together as a community, honour those who have served, and reflect on the significance of ANZAC Day.

Winter Uniform

As we move into the colder weather, we will be transitioning to our winter uniform.

For Weeks 1 and 2, students may wear either the summer or winter uniform. From Week 3 onwards, all students are expected to be in full winter uniform.

We appreciate your support in ensuring students are dressed appropriately for the season.
