From the Principal

Happy Easter
Term 1 has now concluded, marking a strong start to the year. We anticipate Term 2 as an opportunity to consolidate and progress on our learning with students feeling more settled and confident in their classrooms.
Easter is a time to celebrate Christ's resurrection, renew our faith, and embrace hope. I wish all our students and families a happy Easter and a safe and restful holiday.
Stations of the Cross
All students took part in reflecting on the Stations of the Cross today. The reflections focused on Good Friday and the events leading up to the death of Jesus. Although the story is a sad one, it concludes with the hope of the Resurrection.
Thank you to the students for their respectful and reverent participation throughout the liturgies. A special thank you to Kate McGrath and Cindy Luksch for organising the reflections.
2027 Enrolments
This week we conducted numerous tours for interested and prospective families who are looking to enrol at St Anne's College next year. If you or anyone you know is considering enrolment, please contact the school for details or visit our website at https://www.sackialla.catholic.edu.au/enrolments
New Staff
We welcome Laura Emannuelli to the St Anne's College teaching team in Term 2. Laura is coming to us from St Mel's Primary and will be teaching Year 7 English & Science, along with Primary PE. Welcome Laura!
Learning Conversations
Thank you to everyone for taking part in Learning Conversations last week. Reflecting on our learning and setting goals important for everyone. I encourage parents/carers to continue to review these goals in Term 2.
Road Safety
Please note that e-scooters and e-bikes are not permitted to be used by students at St Anne's College. Any e-scooters or e-bikes that are found by staff in school bike racks may be locked and parents/carers will be called. The police have also asked the school to reinforce the law that it is illegal for a child under 16 to ride an e-scooter or e-bike.
Harmony Day
Harmony Day was celebrated last week with many students wearing cultural outfits and clothes. The highlight was the free BBQ for students provided by Azem Elmaz. Azem is a well-known figure in the Shepparton area supporting local emergency services, schools and charity groups. Thank you to Gary Woodward for organising Azem's visit to St Anne's
