Jersey Update
Students who receive a jersey for any upcoming trial, gala day or interschool sport will be recorded as proof of this borrowing method. This will allow our school to continue to use these jerseys and have enough for all students to wear and represent our school proudly at the many sporting events we provide to all students. Once jerseys are washed and returned to the school office, our staff will mark that the jersey have been returned. Any jerseys not returned will incur replacement fee.
Please check the wardrobes at home and return any jerseys of any style (singlet, soccer jersey or footy jersey) which belongs to the school. Thank you for the cooperation with this matter.
Interschool Sport
Interschool Sport for 2026 has officially come to an end for this season. Thank you to all staff, students and parent spectators for contributing to these events. We would like to congratulate all of our students throughout the year who represented our school. The interschool sport initiative by SCS has provided a wonderful opportunity to participate in a friendly and for others a competitive competition while developing skills and fitness and learning valuable lessons about teamwork, resilience, sportsmanship and respect. Socialising with other schools in our network builds confidence and encourages students to learn from both their successes and challenges. We look forward to interschool sport fot 2027.
MacKillop Trial Athletics
Congratulations Kyler R, Darcy H and Zara L in qualifying from the Sydney Athletics Championships to the MacKillop trials hosted on Wednesday 23rd September. What a fantastic achievement to be a part of the Sydney Catholic Schools team at this elite level. We are so proud of you. Below are photos from the Sydney Athletics Championships.
Interconference League Tag
A big congratulations to our Stage 3 League Tag team who competed at the interconference gala day. The boys came out on top and were undefeated for the day. They will participate in play offs later in term 4. We are so proud of you!
Representative Sport 2026/2027
Preparations are being made for the upcoming representative sport calendar season which will run from Term 4 2026 to Term 3 2027. Please see the attached note which contains all details for our current Year 4 and 5 students who represent at a high level outside of school in their sport. Please note that expressions of interest for representative sport closed on the 11th September 2026. Anyone who filled out the nomination form will be notified of the sport trials you selected.
Aquathlon for Year 6 students
**The below options are for Year 6 only**
Entries are now open for the Secondary 2026/2027 NSW All Schools Triathlon and Aquathlon Championships, which will be held in Term 4, 2026 at the Sydney International Regatta Centre, Castlereagh. This event is normally held at the start of 2027 when your child is in Year 7. However they can still participate in Year 6 as the 2027 NSW All Schools Triathlon and Aquathlon teams will be selected from this event. Year 6 students are invited to enter the individual events for the opportunity to gain selection in the 2027 NSW All Schools team. This will occur on November 4th and nominations close on Wednesday 21st October.
Entries for the individual triathlon and aquathlon events are to be submitted via the DASH registration platform. If you could please notify the school via email if you plan to register for this event.
Hockey Gala Day Years 6
Our Year 6 students recently had the opportunity to put their hockey skills into practice at a local Hockey Gala Day. In the lead up to the event, students worked hard during PE lessons to develop their skills and understanding of the game, with the passionate expertise of our very own student, Xavier. A keen hockey player and expert of the game, Xavier generously shared his knowledge and enthusiasm with this peers, helping them prepare for the day. It was fantastic to see our students enjoying their experience, displaying teamwork, sportsmanship and a growing confidence in their hockey skills. We had one of our St Patrick's team go ahead to the final and win. Congratulations to everyone involved!
Swimming Carnival
The Annual School Swimming Carnival for Years 3-6 will be held on Thursday 5th November 2026 at Engadine Swimming Pool. The carnival is a fun, school event but also acts as a trial for the Conference 3 Swimming event which will be held on Monday 8th February 2027. In the past all of Year 2 attended the swimming carnival but for 2026 only advanced Year 2 swimmers are invited. You can now also provide consent via COMPASS.
This year we have placed the Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 students ‘’splash’’ water activities day on a separate day to the 3-6 swimming carnival to avoid any parent spectators racing between the two events. The information for this day will be shared in due course.
Please see the attached note and provide consent via COMPASS. Nominations for the timed races will close on the 25th September as preparations for this day will take action.
