STUDENT SERVICES

Patrick.Swallow@education.wa.edu.au

It has been wonderful to welcome students back for Term 3. For our Year 12 students, this marks the beginning of their final term after 12 years of schooling. It is a significant milestone, and it is natural for both students and their families to experience a mix of emotions during this time. We encourage parents, carers, and students to reach out if they require any support throughout the term.

This year's Country Week was a tremendous success. Our students represented the College with pride, demonstrating outstanding behaviour, sportsmanship, and teamwork throughout the week. I was impressed by both their conduct and their efforts on the sporting field. A sincere thank you to all staff who contributed to the organisation, coaching and supervision of the event. Your dedication made the week possible.

Uniform Expectations

The College Board and staff have recently agreed to implement a consistent uniform standard across all areas of the College, including Farm, Trades, and Class. Previously, differing expectations based on students' timetables created confusion and inconsistency. A single standard is simpler, fairer, and ensures students are always dressed appropriately and safely for all learning activities.

Please see below for the College's uniform expectations.

Musical Mondays

Our Chaplain, Emma, recently introduced Musical Mondays, and it has quickly become a highlight of the week. During recess and lunch each Monday, music is played in the dining room, with the whole College invited to join in a sing-along. Lyrics are displayed, and students and staff come together to sing, creating a fun and positive atmosphere.

The initiative has been very well received, with students and staff visibly enjoying the opportunity to connect, lift their spirits, and start the week on a positive note. A big thank you to Emma for bringing this wonderful idea to the College.
