Mr Adams and the students made a significant effort over three days this week to identify and tag the Poll Merino lambs. Thank you to Mr Adams for coordinating the activity, and to Mr Bean and Mr Dyson for their valuable assistance and support throughout the process. 

Congratulations to all the students involved for their hard work and positive attitude in completing this important farm responsibility.

Horticulture

All students who attended the excursion to LJM Produce in Myalup today had a great day and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. They were given a behind-the-scenes look at the extensive growing operations, machinery, and packing sheds, gaining a better understanding of how fresh produce is grown, harvested, packed, and sent to market. It was a valuable opportunity to see a successful local business in action and learn more about the horticulture industry. A big thank you to the LJM family.

Students at Hort have also been keeping busy, spending time controlling weeds and harvesting strawberries, lettuce, and tomatoes from the hot house. The sweet Navelina oranges have been providing a tasty treat.

In addition, the drone has been used to apply fertiliser to dairy paddocks that were too wet to access with tractors. This enabled nutrients to be applied at the right time while minimising soil disturbance and avoiding damage to paddocks from heavy equipment.
