Basketball Division Champions!

St Carlo Borromeo Primary School is delighted to congratulate our Girls' Basketball team on their outstanding success in winning the Woodlands Division Finals!

Throughout the round robin competition, the girls demonstrated exceptional teamwork, determination, resilience, and sportsmanship. Their commitment and effort on the court was  a credit to themselves and our school community. We are incredibly proud of the way they represented St Carlo Borromeo and congratulate every player on this fantastic achievement.

A special thanks to Emily’s mum, Coach Sarah Koralewski for her support and encouragement, and for sharing her time and passion for basketball with the team.

As Division Champions they have now qualified for the Northern Metropolitan Region Girls Basketball Finals.  The next stage of the competition will take place on Wednesday, 4th November at Broadmeadows Basketball Stadium.  We wish the very best of luck and look forward to cheering them on as they continue their journey!

Year 6 Summer Interschool Sports Trials 2027

The Year 6 Summer Interschool Sport Program will commence early in Term 1, 2027. To prepare for the upcoming season, Summer Sport tryouts will be over a number of Fridays during this term.

All Year 6 students will participate in our Friday Sport Program throughout Terms 1–4. However, due to the limited number of positions available on each team, not all students will be selected to represent the school in interschool competition.

Students will have the opportunity to trial for a Summer Sport in Term 1 and a Winter Sport in Term 2. Teams will be selected by staff, with decisions based on a range of factors, including skill, teamwork, attitude, effort and sportsmanship.

We ask that parents and students understand and respect the selection process, recognising that students may not always be selected for their preferred sport. Your support in encouraging resilience, a positive attitude and respect for staff decisions is greatly appreciated.

The Summer Sports available for selection are Basketball, Tee-ball and Volleyball. Selected students will represent our school in interschool competitions throughout Term 1, 2027.

Students who are not selected for a Sport team will remain at school and participate in a similar sports competition program.

For all Friday Sport sessions, all students are required to wear their full sports uniform and bring a drink bottle, appropriate footwear for their chosen sport, a hat and sunscreen.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation as we encourage all students to participate, develop their skills and enjoy their sporting experiences.

Thank you for your support.

 Yours Sincerely,
