As we approach the final week before the school holidays, it’s remarkable how quickly this term has passed. Reflecting on the wonderful start to 2025 at WVPS, I am incredibly proud of the efforts and commitment shown by both students and staff in fostering positive connections within our school community. This strong foundation will undoubtedly set the stage for continued success throughout the year.
This week, we’ve enjoyed several exciting events across the school. On Wednesday, it was fantastic to see students and staff coming together to have a great time at our School Fun event. The smiles and vibrant colours were a true highlight, one that will surely stand out as a key moment of 2025. A heartfelt thank you to all the families who supported the fundraising efforts for this event. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
Today, we celebrated Harmony Day, providing a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and honour the diversity that makes WVPS so unique. It was truly inspiring to see students proudly representing their cultural heritage and showing respect for the backgrounds of others.
A quick reminder to all families: school photos will be taken on Monday and Tuesday of next week. As always, students are required to wear their full school uniform on these days.
We will also be holding our final assembly for the term next Friday at approximately 9:00 AM in the central courtyard. This will be our first whole-school assembly of the year, and we warmly invite parents and carers to attend. During this assembly, we’ll be drawing the Easter Raffle. A big thank you to those families who have already donated items for the hampers. If you are still planning to contribute, please drop off donations at the office by Monday, March 31st. Your continued support is deeply appreciated.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to the WVPS community for the warm congratulatory messages regarding my recent appointment as the provisional substantive Principal of Wyndham Vale Primary School. I am thrilled to continue serving this wonderful community and supporting our students, staff, and families in achieving success in the years ahead.
As this is the final newsletter for the term, I’d like to remind families that we have a curriculum day scheduled for the first day back in Term 2, Tuesday, April 22nd. School will resume for all students on Wednesday, April 23rd. We’re planning an extra special reward for all students who return to school on this day, so stay tuned!
Wishing everyone a safe and restful holiday break. I look forward to welcoming all our students back to WVPS on Wednesday, April 23rd.
