School Captain's Message

Throughout week 8 and nine 9 our grade 6’s went to EarthEd to learn about natural disasters! There, the grade 6s went into an educational VR (Virtual Reality) experience to learn about the layers of the earth and tectonic plates which many people enjoyed. Also they all had the opportunity to code a robot car to avoid foam blocks and run over coloured paper to act out an earthquake scenario. A personal favourite of my peers' was the section about disaster island, where the students tested the severity of natural disasters in different environments. I saw students really engaged in the activities and having fun.
