A Message from our Parish

Welcome Fr. Jossy

Fr. Jossy Kizhakkethalackal was born in Kerala, India, into a devout Catholic family. Growing up in this faith-filled household deeply influenced his spiritual journey and laid the foundation for his calling to the priesthood.

After completing his university education in Kerala, Fr. Jossy pursued his seminary studies at St. Pius College in Mumbai and later at Corpus Christi Seminary in Carlton, Australia. During this time, he developed a strong theological foundation and a deep spiritual life, preparing him for his future ministry.

Before his ordination, Fr. Jossy worked in schools in Kerala and Agra, serving as both a teacher and administrator. His experience in education allowed him to develop strong pastoral skills, particularly in working with children and young people.

On September 11, 2010, Fr. Jossy was ordained at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Melbourne. Since then, he has served in various parishes across Melbourne.
