Years 3 & 4

The Grade 3/4 team has enjoyed a fantastic Term 2, with students engaging enthusiastically in their learning and making the most of the many opportunities on offer. In Reading, classes have been exploring Brindabella by Ursula Dubosarsky, with students and teachers alike enjoying the novel's humour, characters and mysterious events. Rich discussions, thoughtful predictions and lively conversations have made this a highlight of the term so far.

Across the curriculum, students have been exploring Statistics and Shape in Maths, strengthening their reading, spelling and vocabulary skills through daily phonics lessons, and learning to summarise texts when reading. In Inquiry, students are exploring the fascinating history of Early African Kingdoms, building their knowledge of different cultures, societies and historical perspectives.

There is also plenty of excitement building as we look ahead to our upcoming excursion to Werribee Open Range Zoo. This experience will provide students with opportunities to connect their learning with the real world while creating lasting memories with their classmates. We are looking forward to finishing the term strongly and celebrating all that our students have achieved throughout Semester One.
