CSNSW Crossing Cultures Hidden History Professional Learning

AEA’s Amanda Gwalter (St. Edwards- Tamworth), Harrison Boney (Holy Trinity - Inverell), Tully Langenbaker (O’Connor - Armidale), along with ACS Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Education Team - Jolene Faint & Karen Tighe participated in CSNSW Crossing Cultures Hidden Histories training course at the Australian Catholic University,North Sydney. 

The professional learning day included all 11 Diocese’s from across NSW engaging  and creating networks to enable them to deliver this important professional learning as a team in a focused setting, supporting the cultural responsiveness of leaders and teachers in the diocese in the future.

 

Warraymaylaya Maal Dhuwi- Year 8 & 9 Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Identity & Spirituality Retreat

Information regarding Warraymaylaya Maal Dhuwi - Year 8 & 9 Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Identity & Spirituality Retreat to Port Stephens will be forward to participating school Principals and Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Education Teams this week. 

All schools will have a limited number of staff and students to attend the retreat. No late applications will be accepted.

Check out  Indigenous Literacy Day to LIVESTREAMED performance at Opera House where ILF Ambassadors and Special Guests will host performances celebrating Aboriginal storytelling. 

These guests include Lucas Proudfoot, Bianca Hunt, Josh Pyke, Andy Griffiths and more!

This year we will celebrate the launch of Grinch det K’Taun Krok! (Grinch the K-Town Croc!) written and illustrated by students from Katherine High School in the Northern Territory.
