Immaculate Heart of Mary

During August, the Catholic Church honours the Immaculate Heart of Mary, especially as we approach the Feast of the Assumption on August 15

On this sacred day, we celebrate the belief that Mary was “assumed’ or taken body and soul into heavenly glory at the end of her life on earth. As a Holy Day of Obligation, all families are invited to attend Mass to give thanks for Mary’s faithful “yes” to God. It is a beautiful opportunity for us to reflect on her profound humility and strive to mirror her  faith in our own lives.

Heavenly mother, lead us closer to your Son Jesus, and teach us to love as you love. We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.

Our Adult Rosary group  continues on Mondays before pick up. Secure your parking spot and retreat to the silence of the Church where Jesus is always waiting. We meet in the Church from 2:30, rosary beads and prayer cards are provided. All parents and carers welcome, even if you have never prayed this prayer before.

Parent Outreach

We will be holding another parent outreach day on Wednesday September 16, volunteering our time at St Merkorious Charity in Strathfield. We assist with meal preparation and other warehouse duties as needed. This is a great way to  put faith into action, serving those in need in a tangible way. We hope to provide an opportunity for outreach once per term. If you would like to be added to a whatsapp chat to stay informed about these opportunities, please email ana.seric@syd.catholic.edu.au
