Year 7 Tennis

On Tuesday March 26, ten of our Year seven students participated in the Nillumbik round robin tennis event played at Diamond Valley College (DVC). Well done to the following students.

Team 1: Nick Binotto (Pakana House), Marlo Twyman (Everard House), Milo McQueen (Skipper House), and Sebastian Morgan (Toner House).

Team 2: Tyler Hanna (Skipper House), Ryder Booth (Toner House), Lachlan Jones (Skipper House), Hamish Leahy (Skipper House), Ben Nicholls (Everard House), and Finley Scott (Everard House).

A high level of tennis was played and enjoyed by all, in ideal weather conditions. Our teams were very competitive throughout the day. It was a very close finish with our Team 1 and DVC’s Team 1 equalling on eleven sets won. As only one team could be declared the winner, a count back on the number of games won was required, and as DVC had won the most games on the day, they were the overall winners and have qualified to the next round.

Here is what our students had to say about their experience:

“It was a fun day and everyone enjoyed the tennis. It was a great bonding experience and a very close finish added to the excitement of the day.”

Congratulations and well done to all!
