Book Week 2026

We have had a wonderful time celebrating Children’s Book Week 2026 with this year’s theme, “Symphony of Stories.” Students across the school took part in a range of engaging literacy experiences that highlighted creativity, imagination and a love of reading.

Monday – Book Week Parade  

Students arrived in their creative Book Week costumes, showcasing a wonderful mix of characters that brought the parade to life with excitement and a love for books and reading.

Wednesday – Whole School Read Aloud  

Classes paired up across the school as students visited another classroom to listen to a story and complete a related activity. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to connect with peers and share a love of reading.

Guessing Jar Competition – Week 6  

Throughout Week 6, students took part in our Guessing Jar Competition during their library borrowing time. The winner will be announced after Book Week concludes.

Exploring Books Through Activities  

Across the week, students have engaged in a variety of Book Week activities, including trivia that classes will take part in tomorrow and other hands‑on tasks designed to deepen their understanding of stories and authors.
