URSTRONG - Creating a kinder world by empowering kids with friendship skills.

At Sacred Heart Primary, all students participate in weekly URSTRONG sessions with their classroom teacher to explore how to maintain healthy friendships and navigate through friendship challenges.  The program is underpinned by Friendology, which is a friendship skills curriculum. URSTRONGs whole-school strategy creates a common language for friendships in schools. 

What does URSTRONG teach:

• Friendology is a progressive learning model, building on friendship skills year after year
• Students learn emotional regulation strategies and how to manage conflict in friendships with kindness
• Students learn how to make friends, how to handle common friendship issues, and how to surround themselves with healthy, feel-good friendships.

Parents are warmly invited to join the URSTRONG program, by creating a family URSTRONG membership. 

Research shows that positive relationships are extremely important for wellbeing and learning. Healthy relationships are the #1 predictor of happiness and success. Friendships are the most important relationship to children and we know that friendship skills can (and must) be taught explicitly.
