PROJECT COMPASSION
Every contribution, big or small, helps support vulnerable communities through the life‑changing work of Caritas Australia.
Thank you for your generosity and for walking with us in faith and compassion this Lent.
BIG WATER WALK – Project Compassion - Collecting Sponsors Now!
A big thank you to all students, staff, and families who took part in our Big Water Walk last Monday. It was wonderful to see so many people walking together in support of others around the world.
We extend a special thank you to Father Boniface for visiting classrooms and sharing his experiences with Caritas. His stories helped us understand the impact our support can have. We’re also grateful to members of our Parish community who joined us on the day, their presence made the event even more meaningful.
As we continue our Lenten fundraising, please keep collecting donations for Project Compassion in your boxes. These will be returned in May, and every contribution helps create real change.
Thank you again for your generosity and participation!
LENTEN SEASON - GOOD FRIDAY & EASTER SUNDAY
As we look ahead to Good Friday and Easter Sunday, we’re invited to reflect on the profound hope Christ’s resurrection brings. This season reminds us of Jesus’ deep love, His sacrifice, and the freedom we receive through His triumph over sin.
Easter is both joyful and sacred. It is a moment to give thanks, renew our faith, and remember the true meaning at the heart of our celebrations.
BE A GOOD EGG THIS EASTER
Be a good egg this easter and make sure your Easter chocolate is slavery-free. A significant portion of chocolate comes from cocoa beans harvested by child labourers enduring enslavement and exploitative working conditions. As Pope Francis has said: “Every person ought to have the awareness that purchasing is always a moral – and not simply an economic – act”. Scan the QR code to check out how your favourite brand rates? (Note Cadbury is owned by Mondelez.) Use these logos to identify slavery-free chocolate.
F.I.R.E CARRIER COMMISSIONING
Last week’s assembly was a proud moment for our school community as we recognised this year’s F.I.R.E. Carrier applicants. After submitting thoughtful applications and demonstrating a genuine commitment to reconciliation and cultural understanding, several students and teachers were formally welcomed into the program.
These newly appointed F.I.R.E. Carriers now take on an important leadership role in promoting respect, inclusion, and awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture within our school. We look forward to the positive impact that they will make throughout the year.
Congratulations to Maia, Erin, Indy, Edison, Jack, Gracie, Mrs. DeAraugo, Ms. Fellows, Mrs. Kerlin and Mr. Geary.
