PTFA Update
Term 1 always brings such a wonderful buzz to our school, and the past few weeks have been no exception. It has been a full and joyful season, with so many special moments shared across our community.
A standout has been our Senior and Junior School Athletics Carnivals - truly a highlight of the year. It was so special to see our students jumping in with enthusiasm, showing determination, cheering one another on, and embracing such a strong sense of team spirit. The atmosphere across both days was full of energy, encouragement, and joy!
The carnivals also gave the PTFA a wonderful opportunity to raise money for our school, with all funds raised going straight into supporting our school community. We are so grateful for the generosity of our families - your support is what makes so much of this possible!
A very heartfelt thank you goes to our incredible volunteers - students, parents, and family members - who gave their time so generously. From the behind-the-scenes preparation, to early morning sandwich making, cooking on the BBQ, serving in the canteen, and organising lunch orders, every part was carried out with such care and kindness. Your willingness to step in, your calm approach, and your friendly smiles made all the difference. We couldn’t have done it without you!
On these days, it is always such a joy for us to prepare and provide lunch for our teachers as a small but heartfelt way of saying thank you for all that they do each and every day. It’s a simple gesture, but one that comes with so much appreciation - for the care, dedication, and energy they pour into our children and our school community.
Our Open Evening this week was another beautiful opportunity to come together. The PTFA was delighted to support the school by hosting a sausage sizzle - serving our community and helping create a warm and welcoming space for all. It was so lovely to meet new families, reconnect with familiar faces, and share in what makes King’s College such a special place. There was a genuine sense of joy and connection throughout the evening.
And we’re not done yet - next up is our 40th Anniversary Carnival! We’re really looking forward to celebrating this special milestone together. We are still looking for a few extra helping hands with canteen and food preparation, so if you’re able to be involved, we would absolutely love to hear from you!
We can’t wait to see you there - please come and say hello!
