Good afternoon families,
Thank you to the children and parents who gave me such a warm welcome back from my holiday in India. I really loved travelling through South India. The cooking classes were wonderful, and the colour, scenery and experiences were amazing.
In Lent, we are called to renew our baptismal commitment. We recall those waters in which we were baptized into Christ’s death, died to sin and evil, and began new life in Christ.
Catholic Education week
This week we celebrated Catholic Education Week, and 10 of our Year 6 school leaders went to St Patrick’s cathedral to celebrate Mass with 400 catholic students from across the Melbourne Archdiocese. Thank you to Mrs Douglas and Mrs Elisha Kringas for attending with the children.
Harmony Week
Thank you to Mrs Traynor for organising Harmony Day and the F.I.R.E. Carriers ceremony.
The aim of the F.I.R.E. (Friends Igniting Reconciliation through Education) Carrier Project is to promote respect, fairness and inclusion for Aboriginal people. Congratulations to our newly inducted F.I.R.E Carriers for 2026. Jamie C, Willow K, Maya C, Aston S, Jasmine M-D and Isabel T. We look forward to seeing them continue to carry forward this responsibility over the next year, working alongside Mrs Traynor and our Year 6 F.I.R.E. Carriers.
