Assistant Principals' Report

Hello and welcome to our newsletter item for this week.
Today is World Autism Awareness Day 2nd April, celebrated every year on this date.
Last week we celebrated this day at HPS with a 'Wear a Hoodie Day'.
On the occasion of World Autism Day, the World Health Organisation joins families and communities worldwide in recognising the dignity and worth of all autistic people and advocating for policies that promote neuro-inclusive environments in health, education, workplaces, sports and other sectors. Please see below a nice article titled 'Inclusive Education- What does it mean for you and your school.'
Congratulations on a wonderful first term for 2026. We would like to acknowledge all the hard work undertaken by the students across the term. The support from the school staff and the students families has contributed in so many ways in making this such a wonderful term of learning. We hope everyone in our community has a great break, an opportunity to rest and recharge the batteries. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school in Term 2 for another productive and fun term.
Have a great weekend and week ahead.
