Prayer for Holy Week

Loving God, 

You gave us your only son, 

Who out of love gave His life for us.

In this week of shadows and light, 

we ask Your blessing upon our schools and our homes. 

As we reflect on Your journey to the Cross, 

remind us that we never walk alone.

May the peace of Christ dwell within us, 

and the hope of the Resurrection fill our hearts 

today and throughout the coming days.

Happy Easter

Wishing you and your families a very happy and holy Easter. In the liturgical celebrations of Holy Week, we do not simply commemorate what Jesus did, but are immersed in the Paschal Mystery itself, dying and rising with Christ. As you head into a well deserved holiday break, remember to rest, revive and renew! Have a great break!

Easter Triduum 2026

In a world of division, dissention and war, there is good worth working for. Easter good. Easter peace.

Pope Leo calls on us to pray

“The roar of bombs may cease, that the weapons may fall silent, and a space for dialogue may open in which the voice of the people can be heard.” March (2026)

The story is that the Triduum draws us into the practical reality of our world. The world of Jesus It compels us to pray and to act in the hope of the resurrection. In the sure hope that peace will prevail.

Holy Thursday

As I have washed your feet, you should wash each other's feet Jn 13:15 

Here Jesus teaches us to seek out reverence for each person, to see them worthy of all things, with a soul of infinite value.

Good Friday

They crucified him with two others, one on either side and Jesus in the middle Jn 19:18

The trauma that Jesus suffered is the trauma being suffered by those experiencing the violence in war, on the streets and at home. It is a profound reminder to root out from ourselves every habit of dehumanisation.

Resurrection

There is no need for you to be afraid. I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said he would. Mt 28:6

The women went in search of Jesus. It was no easy quest. They were fearful. Yet they persisted. And they found the peace filled assurance of Jesus in a they could hardly have expected, And they ran to spread the word. We are to do likewise, to be the peace of Jesus.
