Learning at Meadowbank

2-6 Cross Country Carnival
Last Wednesday, our Year 2-6 students participated in the Cross Country event at Meadowbank Park. We were very lucky with the weather – sunny with a little bit of a breeze to help cool our runners. We loved to see all students putting in their best efforts and showing great sportsmanship by cheering each other on. Our visitng pre-service teachers saw what enthusiastic runners we have at Meadowbank.
It was amazing to see how many parents turned up to support their children and enjoy the day. Thank you, parents, for being part of this fun day.
Congratulations to these students who came top 3 in their age group. These students will receive their ribbon at the upcoming Cross Country Assembly at 11:15 am on Friday 15 May. Parents and carers are welcome to attend.
The winning house of the day was Girrawi!
Lastly, a big special thank you to Kirralee Thomas, for helping out at her final Meadowbank Cross Country carnival. Kirralee has been helping out at carnivals for many years and was busy handing out bands today. We appreciate your dedication and commitment.
