Important Dates for Term 3
To assist in your future planning, there are some important dates next term:
Student Uniform Options
We have added a tunic option to the student uniform and our school beanie is currently very popular. Please refer to the Qkr! app if you would like to make a purchase. Thank you to everyone for the effort you go to in ensuring your children are in uniform, including those parents who send their children in blue or red hair ribbons.
An extra thanks to the people who place names on clothing tags, which allow us to return lost uniforms to classrooms. Please note that we have approximately 30 tops without names available on a table at today’s end of term assembly. Parents, please take what you need.
Numeracy Dice Challenge
Our Dice Challenge Champions for 2026 are:
Prep: Irene K (P12)
Y1/2: Jaffar S (1-21)
Y3/4: Mia J (4-27)
Y5/6: Oliver H (6-8)
These students will be presented their numeracy dice challenge trophy at the end of term assembly today. Once again, we congratulate all the students that were involved in this yearly tournament.
Holiday Projects
During the term break we will have the following projects taking place:
Landscaping
The garden beds adjacent to the basketball courts will be planted out with new trees and shrubs

Eave Replacement
The damaged eaves around all 16 portables will be replaced

Toilet Renovation
The year 5 and 6 toilets are getting a well overdue upgrade

Classroom Upgrade
Rooms 3-23, 3-24, 3-29 and 3-30 are being painted, then having new pinboards, blinds and whiteboards installed

Staff v Students Volleyball Game
Yesterday we had a packed gym at lunchtime with over 200 students attending our staff -v- students volleyball match. We had a large group of staff turn up to compete against our year 5 & 6 volleyball team. The final scores were staff 28 and students 32. Player of the match was Mr. Marchbank, who turned up on the student team.

Industrial Action
I am sure most of you would be aware of the decision made by Australian Education Union members to decline the recent agreement offer. This means that action will re start at the beginning of Term 3. Once I know more, I will provide further details to families.
Holiday Program
Our after-hours care provider Their Care have alerted me to the fact that they have had a large level of interest in the upcoming holiday program held at our school. They currently have only a few spots available should you be interested. The contact number is 0429 119 950.
Enjoy Your Family Time
For some families, the school holiday break provides a wonderful opportunity to bond and spend time together. To those parents/guardians who have planned some fun activities for their children, savour every moment as your little ones do grow up way too quickly.
Have a safe and enjoyable break.
