Student of the Week- Week 5

P.E. - Nela (Be Respectful) Nela shows the utmost care for his school environment. He consistently picks up rubbish and demonstrates the expected behaviours unprompted. Keep up the great work Nela. 

Visual Arts - Aiden 6A (Be Respectful) Aiden is always positive and enthusiastic in Art. He consistently endeavours to work to the best of his ability and is happy to attempt new skills. Aiden models exemplary behaviour in art and is a pleasure to teach.

Performing Arts - Maedot 1A (Be a Learner) her fantastic effort and accuracy while playing the rhythm sticks in Performing Arts. She consistently showed pride and integrity in her performance, playing accurate rhythms, following the beat and maintaining a positive mindset. Well done, Maidot.

Chinese - Hildana 5C (Be Respectful) Hildana consistently demonstrates respect by caring for our learning space and working positively with her peers. She shows pride and integrity by confidently sharing her ideas in Chinese and encouraging others to learn. Hildana demonstrates resilience through her positive attitude and willingness to support her classmates, making her a wonderful role model.

6A - Aiden - Be a Learner for demonstrating confidence and maturity when 6A was divided for Athletics Day. Aiden, you handled the change in routine exceptionally well, adapting positively to a new classroom and teacher. Throughout the day, you remained focused and completed all tasks to a high standard. Mrs Mac and I are incredibly proud of the confidence and independence you continue to show. Keep up the fantastic work, Aiden!

6B -Be a Learner for working hard across all subjects, consistently completing all tasks to the best of your ability, and making thoughtful contributions during class discussions. Well done Sarah!

6C - Angelia for consistently applying herself across all learning areas, completing tasks to a high standard, and always striving to do her very best. Her dedication, perseverance, and positive attitude towards learning are to be commended.

5A - Elissa (Be Safe) for always being safe and looking out for your friends. You are thoughtful and caring towards others and are always ready to help when someone needs you. You notice when your friends need support and speak up when something needs to be addressed. You show respect for others and help make our classroom a safe, welcoming and positive place to be.

5C - Mayar (Be Safe) As a responsible member of 5C, Mayar ensures that her peers are cared for and supported, inside and outside the classroom. She encourages others when working in small groups and is a valued friend of all. With kindness and compassion, Mayar displays leadership qualities that promote a safe learning environment for all. Congratulations Mayar.

4A - Sarah (Be a Learner) Awarded to Sarah for her dedication to consistently going the extra mile with her homework tasks, and taking on additional work with enthusiasm. Well done Sarah! Your excellent study habits will help you achieve your learning goals!

4B - Ilya (Be a Learner) for settling into DPW so smoothly, always putting in your best effort across all learning tasks and consistently demonstrating DPW’s high expectations for behaviour. Well done, Ilya! 

4C - Selihom (Be Respectful) for consistently showing kindness and respect to her classmates. Selihom is always thoughtful and considerate, regularly checking in to make sure others are okay. Great work, Selihom! 

3A - Khang (Be a Learner) for showing persistence during Reading this week by focusing on reading texts accurately and responding to comprehension questions. Well done Khang, it’s great to see you showing so much pride in your learning!

3B - Nicholas (Be a Learner) for your fantastic effort in writing during our narrative unit. You have shown dedication and determination to improve your writing by adding WOW words, using paragraphs and adding incredible detail to your writing. Keep up the fantastic work, Nicholas. I can’t wait to see what you write next!

2A- Miracle (Be a learner) Miracle has settled into our class so well and shown kindness, positivity and a willingness to try your best. Miracle is always respectful to others, joins in with classroom learning and is a valued member of our class. Miracle should be very proud of the way she has embraced new experiences and friendships at DPW. Well done!

2B - Steven (Be a Learner) for consistently demonstrating a high level of commitment to his learning across all areas. Steven approaches tasks with enthusiasm, a positive attitude and a willingness to take on challenges and improve his work. Keep up the fantastic attitude, Steven! Well done!

1A -   Zainab (Be a Learner) for trying your best and taking pride in your work. You present your work neatly with your beautiful illustrations, confidently share your learning and ask for help when you need it. Keep up the fantastic effort and positive attitude.

FA - Elijah (Be a Learner) Elijah has shown great focus and attention during class discussions and contributed some valuable ideas. He has done a great job at recording the sounds he hears in words when trying to spell them. Keep it up Elijah!

FB - Alya (Be a Learner)  Alya has been doing some wonderful work in math lessons and is developing a very good understanding of counting and addition. She regularly shares her thinking with the class during our Number Talks. Well done, Alya!

P.E. - Zayde 2B - Zayde consistently demonstrates whole body listening, putting in 100% effort and being inclusive of others in the Physical education environment. Keep up the great work Zayde! 

Visual Arts - Hevani 2A (Be a Learner) Hevani showed great focus and diligence completing her beaded loom to a high degree of excellence in one session. She easily understood and mastered the concept.

Chinese - Rose 6B (Be Respectful) shows respect for our learning space by working quietly, staying focused, and politely encouraging others to do the same, contributing to a calm and collaborative classroom environment. Rose takes pride in her learning and demonstrates integrity and resilience by making positive choices that support both her own learning and the learning of those around her. 

6A - Erimyas (Be a Learner) for showing improved organisation with his schoolwork. Erimyas, you have really taken on board the feedback and suggestions we have given you and have shown a strong focus on the layout and presentation of your bookwork and completed pieces. Your work is much neater and more organised, reflecting the effort you have put in. Great job!

6B - Amal (Be a Learner) for your outstanding work in your writing common assessment task. It is evident you have applied  feedback and put in a lot of effort. You should be proud of your work. Well done!

6C - Bill- Well done on being resilient throughout Inquiry this week and creating a fantastic Rube Goldberg machine. Your perseverance, creativity, and problem-solving skills were impressive.

5A -Jeremiah (Be a Learner) for settling into our school and classroom so well as a new member of our school community. You have shown a positive attitude towards your learning, joined in class discussions, shared your ideas and listened carefully to others. 3A - Pharez (Be a Learner) for demonstrating pride in his learning during Mathematics. He passionately attempts to complete learning tasks and encourages work that is hard to challenge his thinking. Well done Pharez, keep up the great work!

3B - Saachi (Be Learner) for consistently following our expected behaviours and demonstrating whole-body listening. You are a wonderful role model and never need to be reminded to demonstrate our school values, making you an inspiration to 3B! By consistently sharing your ideas and thinking during our mini-lessons, putting your best foot forward in every task, and showing persistence when things are challenging, you are setting yourself up for continued success. 2A- Hannah (Be respectful) Hannah  has begun to show fantastic growth in her whole-body listening. She has also begun to use patience and wonderful manners when interacting with her teachers and friends. It has been lovely to see her listening carefully, waiting her turn and using kind and respectful words with others. 

2B - Lata (Be a Learner) for showing great effort and stamina this week when writing a narrative. Lata included sentences with adjectives to help the reader visualise the setting and characters. He also listened to feedback and used it to improve his writing. Well done Lata!

1A - Imran (Be Respectful) You have been showing what it means to Be Respectful by sitting quietly on the floor, taking turns when speaking, and listening to others. You work independently at your table, try your best and show great focus during your learning. Keep up the fantastic work! 

1B - Mike (Be a Learner) for being an enthusiastic learner who always approaches his work with a positive attitude and tries his very best. Keep it up, Mike!

FB - Riley (Be a learner) for sharing some fantastic facts about animal habitats during our excursion to Werribee Zoo. It was wonderful to see you apply your learning about animals and their needs from our Inquiry unit. Well done, Riley! 😊
