Message from the Principal

St Anthony’s Parish and St Anthony’s School hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as central and fundamental responsibilities of the Church.

St Anthony’s is fully compliant with all policies in relation to Child Safety. These documents ensure compliance with the Victorian Government Child Safety Standards which took effect on 1 January 2017 and reflect our Parish's ongoing commitment to ensuring that all children are safe, happy and empowered.

Welcome to Term Four

We have been working hard preparing for our renovations. Last week there was a massive skip that was filled with excess rubbish and our two sheds are almost empty. A large shipping container has arrived and will be used for storage as we await the construction of our new sheds.

Over the school holidays a lot of work has been completed around the school including the painting of walls in both the Soli Deo and Padua buildings. New garden beds have been planted and the cleaners cupboard moved.

In Term Four students are required to wear summer uniforms in. No leggings or tights are to be worn under summer dresses.

As St Anthony's is a SunSmart school, all students will need their school hat in order to play outside. If they do not have a hat they will be directed to seats at the undercover areas and the picnic tables during break times.

Just a quick reminder about school drop off and pick up. School gates open at 8.30am with classrooms opening at 8.40am. Our first learning session starts at 8.50am. There is no supervision for students to school prior to 8.30am. Families who require earlier supervision will need to take their children to before school care which is available from 6.30am.

It is important that children are at school on time as when they arrive late this can cause interruptions to their learning as well as to their peers, and they may miss important information they need to begin the day. Teachers mark the attendance rolls when class starts at 8.50am, students not in attendance will be marked as being absent or late if they arrive once rolls have been marked.
