Principal Message
Welcome back to the last term for this school year. We will soon say farewell to our Year 10 students after 4 years on the campus. These students are preparing for their end of semester exams which will be held on the Delahey campus. This begins the formal transition process and will culminate in a joint Year 10 Formal celebration with Year 10 students from the Kings Park campus.
To assist in revising for exams, students had an Elevate Educate session last week. Thank you to Ms Niazi 9/10 Campus Leader and Mr Singh K Team and Ms Cakovska B Team for all their work and support of the students this year.
We also farewell the Year 10 Sydenham Campus Student Leaders- Campus Captains Alayna Anwar and Suad Pajaziti, Year 10 Student Leaders – Anika Potschin and Abbey Hamilton and thank them for their contribution to student voice on our Campus.

Alayna and Anika spoke on behalf of the students at the morning tea to commemorate World Teachers’ Day last Friday. Their heartfelt words were very much appreciated. An extract from Alayna’s speech ‘Today we recognize the efforts of our lovely staff and educators who keep this school running and shape the minds of the future…We thank you for all of your work and dedication to this demanding job…’
Last week we also farewelled Mr Alex Moyer who left the College after 8 years. Alex was a Learning Specialist and provided mentorship and coaching to build staff capacity and deepen pedagogy. Alex most recently led the Student Engagement and Well Being Team as a Leading Teacher. He worked closely with staff and students on the Connect program and the reintroduction of School Wide Positive Behaviours (SWBPS) and supported the Be Bold Be Heard program across the College. We wish Alex all the best in his new school.

We welcome Mathew Dalby to the College and the Sydenham campus. Mathew is a Copperfield Alumni and has quickly settled in to the Library and campus events.

The 2025 Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge ended with a fun get together of all the students who completed the challenge.
84% of people who entered, achieved the end goal of reading and entering 15 books into the challenge website.
On Wednesday the 8th October, all participants received a certificate signed by the Victorian Premier, a stationery pack including the library mascot’s favourite fish bookmark, two books of their choice and snacks. It was a fun celebration of a great result.
Well done to our wonderful students!
