Embracing Tomorrow: Igniting the Dreams of the Class of 2025
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." — Eleanor Roosevelt
As Term Four unfolds, the college community warmly welcomes all students, families, and staff to the final—and most significant—chapter of this academic year. This term invites profound reflection and bold anticipation, especially for the Class of 2025, who stand on the cusp of completing their secondary education and stepping into a future filled with promise and opportunity.
These remarkable young individuals have not only persevered through challenges but have dared to dream big. Their belief in the beauty of their dreams forms the foundation of the bright futures that await them. It is this unwavering conviction that will empower them to overcome obstacles, seize opportunities, and forge paths that inspire and transform.
As scheduled classes draw to a close, Year 12 students now focus their energy and determination on the final examination period—a defining moment that closes one chapter and boldly opens another. This transition is more than an academic milestone; it is a testament to their resilience, growth, and readiness to embrace the wider world with confidence and purpose.
Before exams commenced, students gathered for Celebration Day , a lively and meaningful occasion that celebrated their achievements, strengthened connections, and created lasting memories. As part of this special tradition, Year 12 students also returned to their junior campuses, where they were warmly welcomed by younger peers and took part in a range of organised activities. This return to their roots served as a heartfelt reminder of where their journey began and the supportive community that had guided them along the way.
Thank you to the Student Management Team for their outstanding organisation, and to all staff who contributed to the success of the day, whether by dressing in costume or assisting with the many activities and events. Thank you to everyone for the wonderful day of colour, costume, laughter, and vibrance!

Following the exams, students will unite once more to celebrate their journey and achievements at the Year 12 Formal on November 26th, an elegant and joyous occasion marking the culmination of their secondary schooling. This memorable event provides a well-deserved celebration of their dedication, friendships, and shared experiences as they prepare to step confidently into the next phase of their lives.
The academic year will conclude with the Year 12 Awards Ceremony, on December 16th, where students’ efforts and successes will be formally recognised, celebrating the outstanding achievements of this extraordinary cohort.
The college extends its deepest congratulations to every Year 12 student. Their dedication, resilience, and accomplishments fill the entire school community with pride. We stand united in wishing them every success as they prepare for their final assessments and embark on the journeys they envision.
We also express heartfelt gratitude to all staff, past and present, across every campus. Their unwavering commitment, passion, and guidance have shaped not only academic excellence but also the character and spirit of this graduating cohort.
To the parents and carers, we offer profound appreciation. Your steadfast support, encouragement, and partnership have been vital in empowering students to reach this milestone, and your role in their success cannot be overstated.

A Ministerial Visit to Copperfield College

Copperfield College was honoured to host the Honourable Ben Carroll, Deputy Premier of Victoria and Minister for Education, accompanied by Regional Director Mr Chris Thompson and Member for Kororoit, Ms Luba Grigorovitch. Their visit underscored a shared commitment to fostering educational excellence and student wellbeing across the state.
The Deputy Premier met with members of the College’s leadership team and student representatives, followed by a tour of the newly refurbished Kings Park Campus. Staying Connected: Copperfield Alumni Share Their Journeys
Copperfield College was honoured to welcome back Alam Singh, Class of 2024 Valedictorian, for a special alumni visit focused on music.
A talented pianist and the top VCE Music student at Copperfield last year, Alam returned to share his insights and experiences with our current Year 12 Music students. He offered valuable advice on study techniques, performance preparation, and strategies for success, and generously performed one of his original compositions for the class.

One of Alam’s featured works, Dance on the Red Moon (a waltz), is now available on Spotify.
Currently enjoying a well-earned gap year, Alam is set to begin his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne in 2026.
This week at the Sydenham Campus, we are proud to host a Health, Resilience, and Wellbeing session featuring three of our inspiring alumni:
Piera Ibrahim – Accredited Social Worker
They will share their professional journeys and insights into building resilience, maintaining wellbeing, and thriving in the health and community sectors.
VM Student Voice in Action
VCE VM students have worked diligently to complete their Community and Personal Development Skills (PDS) projects.
Addressing topics such as road safety, importance of mental and physical health and other social issues, Year 11 students demonstrated a strong commitment to raising awareness and making a positive impact.

Many Year 11 students returned to their junior campuses to present their learning and inspire younger peers through their experiences and insights.

Farewell to Bronwen CH’NG – Delahey Librarian
Last term, we farewelled Bronwen CH’NG, Librarian at the Delahey Campus, as she entered retirement.
