Have you heard of the golden rule?
If you google it this is what you'll find:
"The Golden Rule is the principle of treating others as you would want to be treated by them, also known as the ethics of reciprocity. It is a fundamental ethical concept found in various religions, cultures, and philosophies worldwide and is summarized by the phrase, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".
It stikes me that this is part of respect. When I did a workshop with Anglicare they had 3 rules for family, the first was "Respect for others". Respect is a key element for our families, workplaces and for all relationships if we want them to thrive.
