Co2 Dragster State Competition

In September, Trinity College’s Year 9 Product Design students proudly represented the College at the Co2 Dragster State Competition. Trinity, a former winner of the event more than a decade ago, was eager to return to the challenge. Five of the best Co2 dragsters from this year’s class were entered—two in the A Division and three in the less-regulated Outlaw Division.

In the A Division, Deon Afkos (9.3) placed 7th and Quin Nunes (9.4) finished 12th overall. In the Outlaw Division, Jaxon Bluntish (9.5) claimed the overall State Championship, with Tom Willing (9.7) achieving 6th place, while Oscar Hudson’s (9.1) car unfortunately crashed, resulting in a DNF.

Congratulations to all five students for their outstanding efforts, and a special commendation to Jaxon Bluntish (9.5) for his remarkable State victory in the Outlaw Division.
