Year 3 Reconciliation Parent Faith Session
Last night was the first of our Parent Sessions for families with a child participating in their First Reconciliation this term. The session was facilitated by Fr Elio, who provided us with provocations and reflections, all while entertaining us with his quick wit and humour. It was a lovely session, reminding us of the impact that not forgiving can have on us spiritually, emotionally and physically. Fr Elio spoke about how freeing it is to forgive and be forgiven, while also acknowledging how challenging it can be to admit our mistakes or offer forgiveness to others.
If you were unable to attend last night there will be another Parent Session next Wednesday 11th February at 7pm in the St Agatha's School Hall. It is an expectation that parents attend one of these sessions if they wish for their child to participate in the Sacament of Reconciliation this year.
Key dates for the Reconciliation Sacramental Program:
Parent Workshop: Wednesday 4th or Wednesday 11th February at 7pm
Commitment Masses: Saturday 14th February 6pm, Sunday 15th February 7:30am, 9am, 10:45am or 6pm
Parent and Child Workshop: Wednesday 25th or Thursday 26th February at 7pm
Sacrament of Reconciliation: Wednesday 11th or Thursday 12th March at 7pm
