Education in Faith

PROJECT COMPASSION
As we are now well into the season of Lent, our school continues to support Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion — a campaign that calls us to live out the Gospel through compassion, generosity, and action for those in need.
Each homeroom has a Project Compassion box, providing students with a simple and practical way to contribute. We encourage families to donate what they can. Even a few coins or loose change can make a meaningful difference when combined with the generosity of others.
To encourage participation and build community spirit, our Social Justice Leaders have introduced a special incentive. The homeroom that raises the most money will be rewarded with a free Zooper Dooper and a free dress day. It’s a fun way to work together while supporting an important cause.
Sacrament of Reconciliation
This week, our Year 3 students had a special visit from Fr Tuong as they continue preparing for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. He spoke with them about what to expect, how to prepare their hearts, and what the sacrament truly means. Fr Tuong connected beautifully with the children, explaining things in a way that was engaging and easy for them to understand. It was a very positive and affirming experience for all.
Reconciliation is a gentle opportunity for children to reflect on their choices, recognise when they may have made mistakes, and learn the importance of saying sorry and making positive changes. It is an important step in supporting their personal and spiritual growth.
As they continue their preparation, we invite our community to keep these students in your prayers and wish them every blessing as they take this meaningful step in their faith journey.
This special milestone will take place on Thursday 19 March at 6:00pm at St Joseph's Chruch.
