Last weekend a crack team of music support students led by parent Jacinta Lodge spent the day in the BHS sewing room making instrument pull throughs to sell at GEMFest on March 18th. This was a fabulous effort by all involved, and special thanks to all the students, parents and grandparents who came along and gave their expertise and enthusiasm. Many thanks to Belle Donald for supporting the activity with advice and entrusting us with her overlockers!
Singit, a singing group for Year 7 students, is now accepting new enrolments. If you love to sing, come along with a friend on Monday at lunchtime next week, and see what Singit all is about!
Tunes on Monday
Singit Star singers, Charli, Caelan, Alex and William kicked off the first ‘Tunes on Monday’ for 2026 with a great set of large group, solo and duo performances. It was great to have our senior performing arts students lead the way. Charli and Caelan have great plans to run lunchtime karaoke events this year, so watch the bulletin for details on how to sign up for your spot!
Beginning Band News
Beginning Band is now in full swing, and on Wednesday welcomed year 6 Roslyn students for their first rehearsal.
Many thanks to the senior students and teachers who came in to help these new students set up their instruments, and to mentor them through their first notes!

DID YOU KNOW…
Lucas and Louis Wang performed on traditional Chinese instrument the Cucurbit at Pako Festa last Saturday, to a large crowd of festival goers. Congratulations to both boys for representing their country of origin with such professionalism and musicality!
