Your Support In Action – Changing Futures

All First National members collectively contribute to RizeUp through our national sponsorship, and we are not simply funding furniture. We are helping create safety, dignity and a genuine fresh start for families escaping domestic and family violence.

RizeUp’s 2024–25 Impact Report reveals the scale of that work. Since inception, 62,745 victim-survivors have been supported, including 41,852 children – the hidden victims of violence – representing $45.2 million in practical, life-changing services.

In the past financial year alone, 12,251 people were supported, of whom 8,308 were children, with $7.4 million delivered in direct assistance. Behind every number is a family starting again.

RizeUp now furnishes at least 12 homes every week and, for the first time, has provided support in every state and territory. An empty property becomes a fully furnished sanctuary. Children walk into bedrooms styled for them, often for the first time in years, feeling safe enough to sleep through the night.

Support does not end with a front door key. Through the Health and Wellbeing Program, families access trauma-informed counselling, medical care and practical essentials such as glasses or specialist reports . In 2024–25, 188 adults and 85 children received support through this programme.

The YESS Youth Program continues to invest in the next generation, supporting young people to rebuild confidence and connection while working with schools to shift culture and understanding.

The need remains stark. 40% of children in Australia have been exposed to domestic and family violence. One woman is killed every eight days. These are not abstract figures. They are families in our communities.
