Torquay College Community Cup

The Torquay College Community Cup is a wonderful opportunity for families, friends and local businesses to come together for a day of golf while supporting our school on Friday 23 October. Whether you are a regular golfer or simply keen to enjoy a social day on the course, there is still time to get a team together! The day kicks off at 12:30pm with a shot gun start. Lou and I value the connections between our school and the wider Surf Coast community, and events like this help those relationships grow. Gather your teammates, invite a local business to join in and help us make this year’s Community Cup a fantastic celebration of community spirit. A huge thank you to all our families and local business who are part of the day already either as players, prize donators, sponsors or all three!

Grandparent's Day

We look forward to welcoming our grandparents to Torquay College on Monday 26 October. Join us for open classrooms at 10:00 am, where our students can proudly share their learning, followed by a special morning tea in our café. This is a lovely opportunity to spend time together, connect with our school community and celebrate the important role grandparents play in our children’s lives.

World Teacher's Day

On Friday 30 October, we will celebrate World Teachers’ Day and recognise the care, dedication and expertise our teachers bring to Torquay College. From helping a child master a new skill to supporting them through a challenging day, our teachers make a difference in ways both big and small. We are grateful for their commitment to helping every student learn, grow and feel a sense of belonging. This year’s theme, “Shine a light on teachers”, invites us to recognise the people who support, encourage and inspire our children every day. On behalf of all our families, we sincerely thank our teaching staff for the care, patience and commitment they bring to their work at Torquay College. To share your appreciation, you can buy our teachers a coffee on the day by donating via the QR code, a small gesture to brighten their day and acknowledge all they do.

Mad Day

Congratulations to our Yr 6 students for another extraordinary Mad day event. There was definetly something for everyone and all students had a great time preparing their stall and interacting with students throughout the activities.
