Principal's Update

Hi everyone,
Welcome to the halfway point of Term 2!
School Tours
We are always excited to welcome new families to our school community! Our tours offer a wonderful opportunity to explore our award-winning, architecturally designed classrooms and experience the vibrant learning environment we are so proud of. During your visit, you'll see first hand our commitment to high-level teaching, where passionate educators inspire students through innovative, engaging instruction. We look forward to showing you what makes our school a truly exceptional place to learn and grow.
Our enrolments are now open for 2027! Please visit the website https://students.educationapps.vic.gov.au/s/ to enrol your child. Enrolments close on 31st July 2026.
Reports
We will be providing student achievement reports for Semester 1 this year as usual.
The reports will be distributed on Thursday 25th June. The reports will continue to provide important details about student learning attainment, but full descriptive comments may not be included as a result of industrial action taken earlier this term by the Australian Education Union.
We will of course be pleased to discuss with you your child’s progress at our next parent-teacher interviews scheduled for early Term 3, or, as always, you can contact your child's teacher through Compass to arrange a meeting.
Important Reminder for Parents and Families
We’d like to take a moment to remind everyone of the importance of respectful and constructive communication within our school community. Our shared goal is to create a safe, supportive environment for all students, staff, and families. We appreciate your continued cooperation in following school guidelines, treating others with courtesy, and helping us maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere. Thank you for being partners in your child’s education.
Simultaneous Reading Day
Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller has been selected as the 2026 National Simultaneous Storytime book — meaning millions of children across Australia will read this story together, out loud, at the very same time on 27 May 2026. A unmissable moment for football fans and book lovers alike!
Luna Roo will be told by Matildas legend Elise Kellond-Knight, a three-time FIFA Women's World Cup veteran, two-time Olympian, and one of Australia's most celebrated footballers, and features the voices of cheeky galahs Jeff and Gary brought to life by Tom Bainbridge, this is one storytime that truly kicks off!
Our students and staff will be participating in the Simultaneous Reading and then completing activities, based around the book Luna Roo, afterwards. Events like this bring millions of children together to share the joy of reading, and promote literacy, imagination and a lifelong love of books.
