Sport report

Last week, Maramba Primary School proudly participated in the Winter Lightning Premiership, with students competing in Soccer, T-ball and AFL 9s. Despite battling through some terrible weather conditions throughout the day, all of our students showed fantastic resilience, teamwork and sportsmanship while still managing to have plenty of fun.
Our teams competed strongly and were able to secure several wins across the different sports. Although we were unfortunately unable to progress through to any of the pennant finals, all students should be extremely proud of the effort, determination and positive attitudes they displayed while representing the school.
A big thank you must go to our Year 5 and 6 staff for their assistance and support throughout the day. We would also like to give a special thank you to our parent helper, for managing the boys’ T-ball team. Events like these are very difficult to run without parent support and assistance, and we greatly value the time and effort our parent helpers provide.
This now concludes the Winter Lightning Premiership for the year.
Division Cross Country
Yesterday, our two running stars, Eve N and Peyton A, represented Maramba Primary School at the Division Cross Country event in Pakenham. Both girls did Maramba proud by finishing 2nd and 27th respectively. Eve now goes on to compete at the Southern Metropolitan finals. This is an absolutely outstanding achievement by Eve and the entire Maramba school community is proud of her and wish her the best of luck.
Both Eve and Peyton are part of the Maramba Sports Academy.
