Principal Team's Message

Nurture.  Innovate.  Celebrate.

Dear Students, Parents, Carers and Families,

Education Week Highlights

Last week we celebrated Education Week with the theme Showcasing Your School, recognising what makes Maramba such a special place to learn, grow and belong.

At Maramba, we were proud to host our Open Morning on Monday, 18th May and welcome families and visitors into our school. It was wonderful to see our students greeting guests, leading with confidence and sharing the fantastic learning taking place across our classrooms. We have so much to be proud of at Maramba: our wonderful teachers and staff, supportive families and, most importantly, our incredible students.

Our students showcase Maramba every day through the way they live our school values of Respect, Relationships, Resilience and Responsibility. They showcase our school when they help a friend, try their best in learning, make positive choices and show kindness to others.

Around the school, we also have some beautiful student displays that capture what our students love most about Maramba. Their words remind us that our school is a place where students feel connected, supported and proud to belong. A few examples include:

  • Methuja and Stevie Rae in Foundation love our assemblies.

  • Sam and Maya in Year 1 love Maramba because they enjoy learning and think the teachers are very nice.

  • Xavier in Year 2 thinks Maramba is a fun place to learn.

  • Charlie E and Haddie in Year 3 love Maramba because they have friends and the learning is heaps of fun.

  • Jed and Khang in Year 4 love Maramba because it is multicultural and inclusive.

  • Dunya and Tenzin from the senior years love that learning is fun at Maramba and that every student is supported to achieve their potential.

We also held a special assembly to celebrate the winners of our Education Week Art Competition. We recognised one winner from each year level across our school, along with six proud winners from our local kindergartens, who joined us at assembly to accept their prizes.

A big thank you to our students, staff, families and wider community for helping make Maramba such a vibrant and welcoming place. We are proud to continue celebrating the learning, creativity and sense of belonging that make our school so special.

Thank you - Working Bee!

A huge thank you to all the families who attended our school Working Bee on Sunday, May 17th. Despite the wet and rainy weather, everyone worked together enthusiastically to move sand into the sensory garden, which the students have not stopped enjoying since! We also spread mulch around the amphitheatre and helped make the school grounds look spectacular for our Education Week Open Morning. Your time, effort, and community spirit are greatly appreciated.

A big thank you to all the families who attended:

  • Anderson Family
  • Vasquez Family
  • Gaspardis Family

Celebrating our Wonderful ES Staff

Finally, I would like to acknowledge and sincerely thank our wonderful Education Support staff for the commitment, compassion and care they bring to Maramba every day.

At Maramba Primary School, our Education Support team includes our teacher aides, office staff, maintenance staff and many others who play an important role in supporting the learning, wellbeing and success of our students. Their dedication and hard work make a significant difference to our school community, often quietly behind the scenes.

We are one team at Maramba, and we take great pride in the way our staff work together, support one another and contribute to making our school such a positive and caring place for our students and families.
