Dear parents

June is celebrated as the month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The Sacred Heart of Jesus is depicted as a heart burning for love of us. This devotion came from visions St Margaret Mary Alacoque had of Jesus in the 1600s. She witnessed Jesus with a burning heart, pouring out endless love for all of humanity. 

Coffee & Connect

It was lovely to catch up over coffee with some of our Kindergarten parents last week. We look forward to more opportunities to gather and work together throughout your child’s primary school years.

Baby Congratulations

Congratulations to the Storozhev family on the safe arrival of baby Cyril, a brother for Kira (Year 3), Luke (Year 1) and Tikhon (K). 

Also to the Majdoub family who welcomed Dalal, a sister for Hala in Kindergarten. 

May God’s love and blessings fill your hearts and home as you welcome this precious new life. We can’t wait to meet the newest additions to our community and see them around the school!

St Merkorious Parent Outreach

We are seeking parent and carer volunteers for a day of outreach service at a local charity, St Merkorious. They provide hot meals and other essentials to those in need each night. We will meet at their warehouse in Strathfield South on Monday 22 June, from 10:30am. We will help in the kitchen or warehouse, wherever needed,  for a few hours or as long as you are able. Please email ana.seric@syd.catholic.edu.au if you are able to attend.

Playgroup

Playgroup is back this Monday after a break for the public holiday. I’d love to welcome any preschool aged children and their parents and grandparents for a morning of play, craft and storytime - starting after the bell until 10:30am.

Rosary

All are most welcome to join us in praying a decade of the rosary from 8:30am on Wednesday mornings. Rosary beads provided. We meet  near the side entry to the church. We offer our Rosary for all the families of St Martha’s parish and school- if you have a specific intention you would like us to pray for, please email me on ana.seric@syd.catholic.edu.au 

Our Adult Rosary group  continues on Mondays before pick up. We meet in the Church from 2:30. All parents and carers welcome.

I look forward to welcoming many of our families to our term 2 Family Mass this Sunday, June 14 at 10am.
