Celebrating Learning and Growth- Semester One Reports

Teachers are currently busily assessing student learning and preparing Semester One reports, which will be released to parents on Monday 29th June (Week 11).

Semester One Reports are a celebration of each student’s learning and growth over the first half of 2026. These reports provide a detailed overview of your child’s learning journey across all Key Learning Areas (KLAs), highlighting their academic progress, strengths, and areas for development. They are a valuable tool in recognising the effort, perseverance, and personal achievements of each child.

The Semester One Reports will be released with a Compass notification sent when they are available, and you can access them through your Compass portal. If you have any issues with your login, now is the time to contact the office.

In Years 1–6, grades are allocated using the five-point scale of ElementaryBasicSoundThorough and Extensive, reflecting your child’s performance based on what they’ve been taught. Kindergarten students are assessed according to the three-point scale of BasicSound and Thorough. Comments have been written in accordance with guidelines for all Sydney Catholic Schools reports.

I encourage you to sit down with your child to look through their report and take a moment to celebrate the journey they have been on. Reports are not just about grades- they capture your child’s wonderful curiosity, their growing confidence, and commitment to learning. It’s a wonderful way to look back on how far they have come and get excited about the new goals and new learning waiting for them in the next half of the year!

Staff Development Day

A reminder that on Friday 3rd July, is a Staff Development Day. Our staff will be working off-site with colleagues from other schools, focusing on the Key Learning Area of Mathematics. Specifically, the day will be dedicated to developing teacher skills in a number of areas of Mathematics and exploring strategies for how we can improve student outcomes in these areas.
