PE at Marlborough P.S.
During Physical Education this term, Middle and Senior students participated in a four-week Athletics program run by DS Sports. Throughout the program, students developed correct techniques for sprinting, relay running, baton changes, jumping and throwing events. These skills culminated in our House Athletics Carnival on Wednesday, July 22, which was a fantastic day filled with energy, enthusiasm and participation.
Selected Year 4, 5 and 6 students will be invited to represent Marlborough Primary School at the District Athletics Carnival on September 2 at Bill Sewart Reserve.
Junior students also focused on Athletics, with an emphasis on developing and refining their fundamental movement skills, including running, jumping, dodging and throwing.
With the excitement of the FIFA World Cup continuing to inspire our students, we will be developing our soccer skills throughout Term 3. Students will practise attacking and defending strategies, ball control, passing, kicking and striking skills through a variety of engaging soccer activities.
