Christmas Prayer for Our Sacred Heart Community

Loving God, We give thanks for our Sacred Heart School community  for the friendships we share, the care we show one another, and the joy that fills our classrooms and homes.

As we enter the Christmas season, we pause to give thanks for the gift of Jesus, a light of hope, peace and love born into our world.

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus fill our community with joy, warmth and peace. May we be reminded of God’s endless love, always present and always generous. Through the Sacred Heart, may our days be shaped by kindness, gratitude and compassion, and may our community continue to shine as a place of welcome, goodness and hope for all.

Bless our Sacred Heart community during this holy time. May our homes be filled with kindness, our gatherings with gratitude, and our hearts with compassion for one another.

We hold especially in our prayers all those affected by the recent tragedy in Bondi. Surround the injured, the grieving and all who are shaken with your gentle presence. Grant comfort to those who mourn, strength to those who care for others, and peace to all who are carrying fear or sorrow in their hearts.

May the light of Christ shine in the darkness, bringing healing where there is hurt and hope where there is sadness. Help us to be bearers of your love through our words, actions and prayers, now and throughout the Christmas season.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
