Education Week Wrap

Despite the weather, our Education Week Activity Afternoon was filled with plenty of fun, laughter, and excitement! A huge thank you to all the families who joined us and enthusiastically participated in the activities. Many of the challenges sparked great debate as families worked together to find the best strategies and solutions, while others required brainpower, creativity, and a bit of determination. The Curiosity Corner also brought back lots of wonderful memories for parents as they looked at a range of artefacts from their own school days.

Congratulations to our three prize-winning families! We hope you enjoy your special family day out together.

ATTOS ( Attitude to School Survey)

The AtoSS is a voluntary student survey for year 4 to 6 students administered by the Department of Education each year to help schools and the department understand students' experiences at school.  Your child will be asked about their thoughts and feelings about their school, their learning, relationships with other students, resilience, bullying, health and wellbeing, physical activity, and life in general. More information was sent to all year 4 to 6 parents on Monday, 25th May.

The information gathered from the students helps the school to identify what we are doing well and areas of the school we need to focus on.

IB Evaluation Visit

After nine months of dedicated work, the final components of the IB evaluation have been completed and submitted.

As part of the evaluation process, which took place from 17 to 19 May, the school has undertaken a comprehensive self-study against the IB Standards and Practices. This work was a major focus throughout Term 1 and parts of Term 4, 2025. As a staff, we evaluated our practices against a range of criteria and provided evidence to support our judgements. A significant number of documents and policies have been submitted and reviewed as part of this process.

The next step is the evaluation visit. Our reviewer, Elaine Lam from Singapore, will spend three days at the school speaking with teachers, parents, and students about the IB programme and the school's performance. She will also observe teaching and learning in classrooms and engage with students across the school.

Following the visit, the school will receive a report outlining commendations and recommendations to guide our work over the next four years.

Thank you to all staff for their commitment and effort in completing the self-study.
