A Day in the Life of a Medical Student

Recently, I had the opportunity to attend Deakin University’s “A Day in the Life of a Medical Student” program.
As a student from Ballarat High School with an interest in pursuing medicine, the experience gave me valuable insight into what studying medicine is really like. Throughout the day, we explored different aspects of medical school, participated in interactive activities and learnt about the skills and knowledge required to become a doctor. It was especially interesting to hear about the experiences of current medical students and understand the challenges and rewards of the course. The program also gave me a better understanding of the pathway into medicine and what I can expect in the future.
Overall, the experience was both informative and inspiring and it strengthened my motivation to work towards a career in medicine.
