Icy Pole Thursdays are back for Term 4
Online orders only!
In keeping with our transition to a cashless school, we are excited to announce that orders for Icy Pole Thursday will now be online via Compass Events.
No more scrounging for coins or trying to break a large bill every week. Just place your child's icy pole order for the entire term -- and you're done!
10 weeks of icy poles = $15. (Weekly orders are not available.)
Orders now open! Just log into Compass and place your order for each child.
Deadline for orders: Tuesday 6th October.
No cash or late orders accepted.
ONLINE LUNCH ORDERING
We have a number of children that are missing out on their lunch orders due to user error.
Please make sure you select the correct date and move through each step to avoid your child missing out on their lunch order. You can check your receipt to confirm that you've completed the order correctly.
Lunch orders are available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Please log in to Qkr! and follow the steps.
Lunch orders are all on line. Orders must be placed by 8:30 a.m.

THE JAPANESE WORD OF THE FORTNIGHT
ねむいです(pronounced ‘nemuides’) which means ‘sleepy’ is the Japanese Word of the Fortnight for Week 8 & 9 of Term 3.
At times, you can’t help feeling a bit sleepy and it’s a handy word to remember. You can just say, ‘nemui’ (ねむい)in a casual situation.

SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER HOLIDAY PROGRAM
The September/October Holiday Program is now available and bookings are open.
Bookings will close at 6:00 p.m. on Monday 14th September.
The programs are available from the OSHC service, School Office or email Debbie at: debra.russell@education.vic.gov.au for a copy.
Booking requests must be made via the Xplor App.
We have 97 places available each day. If we reach capacity, your booking will be rejected and you will be placed on a waiting list

The Instrumental music program at Valkstone PS is back for 2026! Having a fantastic start in the later half of 2025, we would love to see even more Valkstone students take up an instrument and start their passion for playing music.
Enrolments are now open: We currently have guitar, drums and piano running in school hours with a waiting list for other instruments.

In order for your child to be featured, please complete the Media Permission form on Compass.
LOST PROPERTY
Lost property is located outside the gym near the STEM room.
This is not for children to just take any jumper/hat they find in the lost property.
Children should only be taking their own items.
Please remember to put your name on your school jumpers, hats etc. to ensure that we are able to return them to you.
