This week, our Prep students have been learning how to greet others in Auslan, practising signs such as good morning and good afternoon. They have been very enthusiastic and eager to use their new skills with confidence!

Students in Grades 1 and 2 have been revising the Auslan alphabet and learning how to sign their names using fingerspelling. They have also been building their conversational skills by practising short exchanges with peers, including basic greetings, while ensuring they follow Deaf protocols — such as gently tapping to gain attention before signing.

We have also been learning and rehearsing new songs to showcase our growing Auslan skills!
